SHIPS

Horizon

Horizon

Unlike Sovereign and Monarch, Horizon has gained some of her experience sailing under the guidance of Celebrity Cruises and not Royal Caribbean.

Speaking of the crew, Horizon’s fun and vibrant atmosphere is created through the passion that they have to ensure everybody is enjoying themselves. Whether you are relaxing by the pool or working up a sweat in the gym; they will do everything they can to offer the most enjoyable experience on the seas.

The public spaces are similar to those found on other Pullmantur ships. There are a variety of options when it comes to meals, numerous places to relax, and stunning views wherever you turn. In fact, 80% all the ship’s cabins have vistas of the sea, whilst 68 of the cabins have luxurious private balconies.

A recent refit has brought this classic vessel up to date without removing any of her charm, and spacious public areas include three restaurants, a theatre lounge, and a casino. Horizon spreads her time between the sunny Caribbean and the calm waters of the Mediterranean.

Monarch

Monarch

In a similar way to Empress and Sovereign, Monarch has spent some time as part of Royal Caribbean International’s fleet and was previously named Monarch of the Seas. She is the nautical sister of Sovereign and therefore bares many similarities in terms of layout and appearance.

At the time she was launched, in 1991, Monarch was one of the largest ships in the world. And with a capacity of 2,733 she still cuts a commanding figure. Having only been with Pullmantur since 2013 she is the latest addition to our fleet and received a recent renovation to put her in line with the rest of our ships. This follows a multi-million pound refit in 2003 which included the addition of her ice cream parlour, climbing wall and conference centre along with the expansion of other public areas.

Monarch holds her place in history for being the first ever major cruise ship to have a women captain at the helm. Swedish born Karin Stahre Janson took charge in 2007 but has since been joined by a host of other female captains for other operators.

With two main restaurants and numerous other alternative dining areas, there is plenty of choice when it comes to mealtimes. Monarch also offers some excellent facilities to help you relax. Whether you like the fast-paced nature of the basketball court and gym or you prefer the serene environment of the spa and poolside; rest, recuperation and relief will all be second nature during your Monarch cruise.

Monarch spends her time sailing the Caribbean Sea and so can be found in one of the world’s most popular cruising destinations all year round.

Sovereign

Sovereign

Just like Empress and Monarch, Sovereign was previously part of Royal Caribbean’s ranks and served the operator for no less than 20 years. Having been built in 1988, she was transferred to Pullmantur prior to her maiden voyage as Sovereign (previously she was known as Sovereign of the Seas) in 2009.

Not only does she have great experience and classic seafaring charm, she’s also had her fifteen minutes of fame. During her refurbishment in 2004 she was the subject of a TV programme which followed her renovation throughout her time in dry dock. Sovereign received another minor refit in 2008 when she first became part of our Pullmatur fleet; allowing her to proudly boast our livery wherever she goes.

With five different restaurants to choose from and a number of bars and lounges to relax in, there will be plenty of choice during your Sovereign cruise. The whole family are welcomed aboard thanks to the excellent range of activities for younger travellers too. From the kid’s and teen’s clubs run by our passionate crew to the games arcade and the ping pong table; children are never an afterthought.

Sovereign spends most of her time cruising around the Mediterranean, helping guests discover stunning ports like Kotor (Montenegro), Kusadasi (Turkey) and Olbia (Sardinia) which they may never have thought to visit.

Zenith

Zenith

Zenith is the nautical sister of Horizon and she too has served time under the name of Celebrity cruises. She was built in 1992 and, like Horizon, is a mid-sized ship with a capacity of 1,828. This means that passengers will never feel overcrowded in the public areas and that there is plenty going on for guests of all ages.

After a refit in 2013, the ship’s layout and the types of communal areas resemble those found on our other ships like Empress and Monarch. Excellent places to eat and drink are combined with wonderful viewing areas, luxurious accommodation and exciting entertainment to create the perfect setting for your Pullmantur cruise.

Children are looked after just as well as the adults and the lively atmosphere on board generally suits those new to cruising and guests that are younger than the typical cruiser. However, anyone of any age will enjoy their time on board Zenith and will return from their trip relaxed, enriched and ready to book their next adventure.
