Info about Costa Card on board:
In the cabin, guests will receive their personal Costa Card to use from the beginning and throughout the cruise to pay for extra services requested on board.
All expenses will be automatically charged to their cabin account and they will not need to carry cash for daily expenses. Within the first 24 hours of boarding, they will need to cover the Costa Card by registering their credit card or making a minimum initial deposit of 150 euros/USD per person (depending on the currency on board) in cash, debit card or by check.
The initial amount will need to be integrated during the cruise with subsequent payments when the extra expenses incurred on board are greater than the deposit paid up to that point.
The Costa Card will be temporarily blocked within the first 48 hours of boarding in the event of failure to register the credit card (or pay the deposit) or if they have made expenses exceeding 200 euros/USD without having registered the credit card or paid the deposit in cash and/or during the cruise when the deposit paid is insufficient to cover the expenses already incurred.
They will then need to contact the reception to open the cabin account and then register the credit card or make the deposit.
Every day we will check the availability of their credit card, requesting authorization from the credit card circuits.
At the end of the cruise, they will receive the bill in the cabin and, unless otherwise notified by them, the costs will be automatically debited to their credit card.
CREDIT CARDS : American Express, Visa and Mastercard credit cards are accepted on board. Prepaid cards, rechargeable cards, VISA Electron, Postepay, Postamat, Cirrus Maestro are not accepted.
DEBIT CARDS : Debit cards belonging to Visa, MC and Amex are accepted on board. Prepaid cards, rechargeable cards, or debit cards belonging to different circuit are not accepted.
Costa suggests to inform clients to check with their bank before departure the type and method of use of the card in their possession.
